The Flee Project, headquartered in Paris, France, has published "Courir," a 128-page book of Mardi Gras courir photographs taken by David Simpson (whose photos have been uploaded to Flickr and are indexed on the cajunzydecomusic web pages). The book was designed by Flee Project co-founder Olivier Duport, He selected the photos from Simpson's extensive archive of photos taken over the last thirty years.
The book includes photos of courirs in Basile, Church Point, Egan, Elton, Eunice, Fatquetigue, Lejeune Cove, Mamou, Mermentau, Soileau, and Tee Mamou. It also includes a short introduction in English and French. The book pages are not numbered. Click here for a page-by-page listing of the courirs and the year in which each photo was taken.
